ninetailednaruto used to be a genin in the sand village after the battel against the leaf village he became chunin and 2 months later joinin. during the time when a new kage was to be selected there was a tornamant the winner would be the new sand kage.sevral joinin and anbu entered the tornamant.almost at the end of the tornamant ninetaileednaruto was fighting gaara.after many hours of combat garra ran out of chakra and fainted.
3 days later ninetailednaruto became the new sand kage.
